Eddy Guerrero vs. Dean Malenko from ECW 1995

This match was for Malenko’s ECW TV Title. The match took place at an outdoor show.

 

Eddy got an early nearfall with a Frankensteiner. Eddy mostly had control for a bit after that. Malenko finally slowed Eddy down with a big back suplex. Dean Malenko is so fucking crisp in the ring. Malenko got a nearfall with a brainbuster. Malenko was now in control for a bit. Eddy tried to hit a tornado DDT, but Malenko blocked it. Malenko hit a NASTY Gibson Driver: 1…2…NO! Eddy got a nearfall out of nowhere with an amazing pinning combination, but Makenko cut him off with a lariat. Eddy came back with a Rock Bottom and Frog Splash. Eddy started selling his ribs after the frog splash. Malenko pounced with an…ABDOMINAL STRETCH. Amazing. Eddie made the ropes. They traded pinning combinations until Eddy caught him with a jackknife: 1…2…3! New Champ.

 

Wrestle Boner. That is the best way for me to describe my emotions while watching this match. This wasn’t an all-time classic match with dramatic nearfalls, etc, etc. However, if you do not enjoy watching this match, I question your wrestling fandom! It is so much fun.
