The Allied Powers (Lex Luger & The British Bulldog) vs. The Blu Twins (Eli Blu & Jacob Blu) from WWF’s Wrestlemania 1995

Recap from TJ Hawke:

The Blu Twins, aka Ron & Don Harris, came out with Uncle Zebekiah…ZEB COLTER!

Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler couldn’t tell the difference between The Blu Twins, which gives me full permission to not bother trying. The Allied Powers ran through The Blu Twins early on. The Blu Twins needed illegal double teaming to cut off Bulldog. He was worked over for a bit. He eventually avoided an elbow drop from a Blu Twin and tagged out Luger. Luger made a big comeback, obviously. Luger had the match won after a big forearm, but the other Blu Twin ran in for the save. They tried some twin magic. Bulldog did a blind tag though and caught one of the Blu Twins with a sunset flip: 1…2…3

This match was okay. They had a fair amount of heat, but the action seemed very clunky at times. Bulldog and Luger probably could have had a decent run as a tag team, but that is not how things worked out. I had completely forgotten about Dutch Mantell’s previous run as a racist manager named Zeb in the WWE.

Match Rating: **1/4
