The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns) vs. Rey Mysterio & The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) from WWE’s Tribute to the Troops 2013

Recap from TJ Hawke:

The babyfaces were briefly in control, but The Shield managed to cut off Jey and then work him over briefly. Jimmy made a hot tag. Jimmy got cut off by Ambrose though and then worked over. Rey made the proper hot tag. The teams went back and forth. Rey eventually gave Rollins a diving ‘rana, a 619, and falling splash: 1…2…3

I really don’t understand why Rey Mysterio hasn’t exclusively worked tag matches from the past seven years. They would have saved him so much wear and tear, and he’s just so good at them. The Shield and The Usos are also obviously great at tag team wrestling. This was quite fun and actually worth the time. I’m pretty sure they piped in crowd noise though, but I was able to tune it out.

It’s obligatory to point out, but I also want to mention that Tribute to the Troops in general is very awesome. I’m not one for patriotism, but I like the idea of WWE doing more shows like this for different causes or whatever. Life is too short to be exclusively being worrying about making money.
