Team 3D vs. Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode) from TNA’s Lockdown 2009

Reggie Gaines’ Analysis:

This lockdown match is a philadelphia street fight. IWGP tag team championships vs. the TNA World Tag Team Championship. The street fight starts with them brawling out of the cage and through the rowdy philly crowd. An ECW chant breaks out early (What do you expect in Philly?). There are A LOT of punches thrown between both teams early in this contest. They brawl back to ringside. Storm slams the cage door right into Ray’s face. Beer Money grabs a table from under the ring and set it up next to the steel steps. Beer Money takes Devon up the steps and hits him with the Beer Money double suplex through the table. Back in the cage, Beer Money beats on a busted open Ray. Ray body slams Roode and goes up to the top rope. Storm follows him up but gets crotched on the top by Ray. Roode climbs up to the top with Ray. Ray punches Roode and locks in a full nelson. HUGE super Bubba Bomb off the top rope on Roode. Tenay calls it the Bubba Bomb which is funny because his name is Brother Ray in this. Storm is back up and hits Ray with a tornado reverse ddt. Beer Money attempts the DWI on Ray but Devon is back in for the save. Team 3D with a Back suplex/Neckbreaker combo on Roode for a near fall. Team 3D hits a Doomsday Device on Storm for another near fall. Whats up headbutt on Roode. DEVON!!!! GET THE TABLES!! Devon gets a table from under the ring and slides in it the cage. Beer Money catches Ray with a double back suplex after he sets up the table. Beer money hits a samoan drop neckbreaker combo for 2. Ray tries to fight back but is countered by Roode with a Double A spinebuster. Beer Money tries to slam Devon’s head into the cage door but Devon reverses and Storm slams Roode’s head into the cage door. 3-D on Roode through the table for the 1.2.3. Team 3-D with the win.

Good match. Too many punches early on in the match for my taste but I guess there is not too much you can do while brawling through the crowd. Match picked up and became a fun cage match towards the end.
