Jimmy Rave vs. John Skyler from Scenic City Invitational 2016

Post by The Fray Movement:

Go to the Twitter and bring up the search function. Do a search for #SCI2016. Lots of praise for the tournament. Lots of praise for the good times with the good brothers in Chattanooga. Lots of praise for Matt Riddle and Chris Hero and Lio Rush and Wild Billy Buck and the names go on and on and on.

And on and on and on….

You get my point.

The 2016 Scenic City Invitational took place on August 5th and August 6th at the East Hamilton High School just outside of Chattanooga, TN. I believe fans from 17 or 18 states and two Canadian provinces attended the weekend’s festivities. There was Banter. There was eating. There was podcasting. There was wrestling.

I guess the wresting needs to be talked about here.

Jimmy Rave and John Skyler kicked off night 1 of the tournament with the first first round match. It’s honestly the type of match you want kicking off something like this. Lots of action, and honestly, Jimmy’s one of the guys responsible for the resurgence of southern indie professional wrestling over the last couple of years. He belongs here.

I’m not going to spoil the finish for you, but this is absolutely worth a watch. The crowd is super into the match. It made me regret even more that I couldn’t make it to night 1. The production here is also top notch. I’m really looking forward to seeing the finished product when it’s released in the next few days.

Spread the word, baby. Jimmy Rave is the king of the south. He’s alive and well and is still one hell of a professional wrestler. John Skyler is alright too.
