Flyer vs. Canelo Casas from CMLL’s En Busca de un Idolo 2015

Recap from Wrestling Addict:

The longest of the tournament’s first round matches.

The match took some time to get going, as they mat-wrestled and grappled a bit more than the rest of En Busca de un Idolo matches so far. Canelo Casas countering Flyer’s snapmare attempt with a backbreaker looked nice, as did Flyer’s tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Canelo did a nice plancha/slingshot crossbody to the floor. Things got kinda awkward around 8:10 with Canelo struggling to complete a wheel-barrow German suplex twice before hitting it the third time. Flyer nailed a tope con hilo at 9:00 which was the spot of the match. He then locked a nice leg-trap ankle-lock and an armlock, but neither was able to finish the match. The clock rang alarming the end of the match in a draw (I assume, because they continued after that and Flyer tapped out Canelo in some submission move but the camera had panned out and the referee lift both wrestler’s arms.)

(Super Porky giving his reviews standing up, giving everybody 10/10 and Shocker getting mad at him for it are all pretty funny still.)

Match Rating: Alright match, overall. Watch it if you want.
