The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) vs. Reno SCUM (Adam Thornstowe & Luster The Legend) from IWF Breaking Ground 2014

Recap from TJ Hawke:

Reno Scum attacked the Bucks from behind before the match started. The match turned into a brawl. The Bucks started to come back, but Scum managed to cut off Matt. They went after Matt’s broken hand. He eventually escaped the beatdown, and Nick made a hot tag. Scum made a comeback after Nick accidentally kicked Matt.  Thornstowe botched something on Nick. Thornstowe ate the tandem tombstone, but Luster made the save. Luster hit them both with a lariat, and Matt then ate a leapfrog/curb stomp combo: 1…2…3. A real underwhelming finish to this match (despite the actual move being cool).

So, your team definitely has a lot of work to do when you’re having an underwhelming match with the Young Bucks. I’ve seen Thornstowe twice now (PWG DDT4 2014), and he has failed to impress me both times. Luster The Legend did not do much to stand out either. I will say in their defense that this match probably would have had a much better chance of succeeding if the Bucks were working heel.

Match Rating: **1/4
