Chris Hero vs. Chris Masters from IWF’s Breaking Ground 2014

Recap from TJ Hawke:

They took their time settling down. Masters eventually cut Hero off with a backbreaker. Masters worked him over for a bit. Despite targeting the back, he applied a figure four. Hero got to the ropes, and Masters then targeted the wrong leg after. Hero hit a spinning boot and then made a comeback. Masters hit a Sky High for a nearfall. They traded chops. Hero finished him with the Death Blow.

I thought this was okay. Masters’ work did not really appeal to me. I understand the logic of the working over different body parts strategy, but I do not think it’s that effective in such a short match. There’s no time for any of the work to sink in.
