Chris Hero vs. Aaron Epic from Beyond Wrestling 2013

Recap from TJ Hawke:

They stayed on the mat at the start. That last for a while. Hero got control after connecting on a couple of strikes. Epic was able to use some holds to get back control of the match. Hero got back control with some strikes. The basic story of the match is that Epic had control when he got submissions and various hold, but Hero got control when he connected on some strikes. Eventually, Hero got a variation of the Trailer Hitch, and Epic had to tap out.

This was fine, but I think these two would have had a more enjoyable match if they kept it more compact and strike heavy. Long matches featuring lots of trading holds are usually not as enjoyable in the Beyond studio atmosphere.

Match Rating: **1/2
