Matthew Palmer vs. Jewells Malone from Beyond Wrestling’s Tournament for Tomorrow 2013

Recap from TJ Hawke:

This is my first time watching Malone. I’ve only see Palmer once before (in a four way two days later). Malone was mostly in control early on. Palmer went for a crossbody, but he crashed to the floor. That was fantastic. Malone joined him on the floor, but Palmer shoved her into a wall. Palmer then worked her over in the ring. She came back with a diving lariat and a spiked Ace Crusher. She avoided a snapmare driver and then hit a Sky High for a nearfall. Malone hit a number of strikes, but Palmer caught her with the snarmare driver: 1…2…3

I thought this was a solid start to the tournament and introduction to both wrestlers. They worked a fun pace in a compact match, which are qualities I appreciate more and more. It was bit weird to see Palmer win considering Malone basically got 80% of the offense. That’s a bit of a nitpick though.

Match Rating: **1/2
