JT Dunn vs. Jesse Vane from Beyond Wrestling 2013

Post by Chris Wilson:

This match takes place at an All Killer studio taping at the CZW Academy. This match took place two weeks before Dunn’s big match against Michael Elgin at Point of No Return.

After some mat wrestling, JT Dunn gets the advantage by hitting a tilt-a-whirl headscissors followed by a boot in the corner and clothesline for a 2 count on Jesse Vane. Vane is on the outside, and Dunn connects with a dive through the ropes. Back in the ring, Dunn attempts to springboard, but Vane sends Dunn crashing face first into the mat. Vane hits two knee drops for a 2 count. Dunn tries to make a comeback, but Vane connects with a big knee stopping Dunn’s momentum. Vane hits a springboard crossbody for a 2 count. Dunn rolls up Vane and rolls him through hitting a baby Ace Crusher for a 2 count. Dunn misses a boot in the corner, and Vane hits a standing sliced bread for a 2 count. Vane hits a TKO for a nearfall. Dunn rolls out of the way of a Swanton attempt. Both men trade forearms, but Dunn connects with a huge elbow for the 3 count and the win.

A really nice match here that had a cool ending sequence. Both men were connecting with elbows and Vane hit a superkick only for Dunn to hit a superkick of his own. Dunn went to run off the ropes, but Vane pulled of his elbow pad. Usually Dunn doesn’t finish a match with an elbow strike unless it is exposed. Dunn will take his elbow pad off to set up for the finish, but it was cool how it seemed Dunn was not ready to end the match, he didn’t think he could put him away just yet, but Vane took off the pad so Dunn decided he could end it there, and he did just that.

Thanks,
Chris Wilson
