Pinkie Sanchez vs. JT Dunn from Beyond Wrestling 2013

Post by Chris Wilson:

This match took place at a studio taping at the CZW Academy. and there is no specified date as to when this took place. I believe it was taped in early 2013 due to storylines and other factors. Pinkie Sanchez was the ISW Undisputed King of Crazy at this point and this was a title match.

The match starts with Pinkie working the left leg of JT Dunn to set up for the Figure Four. Dunn is only able to use his right leg for offense. Dunn attempts a kick with his right leg, but Pinkie catches it and hits a dragon screw now damaging the right leg as well as the left leg. Pinkie sets up a weird contraption with a steel chair and a plastic folding shelf, but Dunn sends Pinkie through it with a suplex for a 2 count. Pinkie is able regain control by grabbing a piece of the plastic folding shelf and hitting Dunn’s legs with it. Pinkie spikes Dunn with a running bulldog and tries to follow up with a second rope moonsault, but Dunn rolls out of the way and covers Pinkie for a 2 count. Dunn hits a German but could not hang on with a bridge and is only able to get a 2 count after going for a pin attempt. Pinkie sends Dunn flying onto the apron, but Dunn comes back with a boot between the ropes and a slingshot facebuster for a 2 count. Dunn hits a blue thunder backcracker for another 2 count. Pinkie is able to spike Dunn on his head with a DDT for a nearfall. Both men exchange strikes, but Dunn rebounds with a rolling forearm. Dunn puts Pinkie on the top turnbuckle, but Pinkie is able counter with a DDT sending Dunn’s head into the top turnbuckle. Pinkie hits a Flying Seated Hiney Attack for the 3 count and the win.

A really good match here. My only complaint was that Dunn didn’t sell the legs as much. Towards the end he hit a lot of boots and when he landed on the apron, he didn’t show any pain even though his legs had taken a beaten to that point. I was also a bit disappointed that working the legs didn’t really amount to much. Pinkie never attempted the Figure Four so working the legs basically went to waste, but I did enjoy the finish and the match.

Thanks,
Chris Wilson
