ACH vs. TJ Perkins from St. Louis Anarchy’s Gateway to Danarchy 2012
Review by Reed Benson:
This is a good babyface vs. babyface match between two guys who are really slick. There isn’t anything out of the ordinary, and neither guy gets any of his big moves in (Does Perkins have any big moves?), but what they do pull out is fast-paced and pretty smooth. It’s a bit of a spotfest, I guess. I didn’t sense a lot of psychology or the selling of any specific body parts, but they didn’t pop up after moves often, and that’s all I ask for most of the time. ACH won with a bridging O’Connor roll. Better than a school boy, at least.
I’m not a big fan of the venue. It’s dull, as is the ring, and the big red curtain doesn’t fix things. That’s a minor nitpick, though, as I know that the promotion doesn’t really have a lot of control over how the place looks unless they have a big budget. At least there’s enough light to see what’s going on, which is more than can be said for Anarchy Championship Wrestling’s shows.
