The Undertaker, John Cena, & DX (Triple H & Shawn Michaels) vs. CM Punk & Legacy (Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase, & Cody Rhodes) from WWE 2009

Recap from TJ Hawke:

What a shit time capsule this match appears to be on the surface. The babyfaces controlled the match for a while. It was quite dull to be perfectly honest. Shawn eventually got cut off and then worked over. Cena made a hot tag. He got cut off by the Legacy geeks. Commercial break. Cena was worked over for a while. Triple H made a hot tag on CM Punk of all people. Taker tagged in, and Punk scampered to the corner. Taker destroyed Orton. Taker was moving. The match broke down after Taker caught Orton in Hell’s Gate. DiBiase ate the superkick/pedigree combo. Cena FUed Punk onto the Legacy geeks on the floor. Orton was left in the ring with everyone else. Taker simply gave him a tombstone: 1…2…3

WWE normally does these types of matches well. This was not one of those times. Legacy looked awful and dragged down everything they did here. Punk was not portrayed to seem important. It was “all-star” match where it seemed like the aging babyfaces were superheroes but the heels were OVW chumps. Skip this one.

Match Rating: **1/4
