Chris Dickinson vs. Jefferson Saint from Beyond Wrestling Of Bosses and Busters 2009

Post by Chris Wilson:

This match took place back in 2009, in Ohio, at Of Bosses and Busters. The video starts after one minute of the match has gone by.

Jefferson Saint hits a back elbow to take control, but Dickinson comes back with a snap suplex followed by a clothesline and a boot. Saint rolls to the outside and Dickinson knocks him down with a Tope con Hilo. Dickinson hits a snap suplex on the floor. Saint takes control by slamming Dickinson’s head into the steel steps. Saint rolls him in and hits a Stun Gun for a 2 count. Saint hits a knee drop followed by a fist drop and a snap neckbreaker for a 2 count after Dickinson got his foot on the ropes. Dickinson ducks a clothesline and hits a snapmare and follows it up with a sliding clothesline for a 2 count. Both men get knocked down as they both connect with clotheslines. Dickinson hits a falcon arrow, but Saint is able to roll out of the way of a springboard elbow drop. Saint hits a spinebuster for a nearfall. Dickinson hits a kip-up enziguri for a 2 count. Both men exchange waist locks, but Saint pulls something out of his knee pad and hits Dickinson with it for the 3 count and the win.

It was an okay match that I enjoyed, but there were somethings that ruined it for me. When Dickinson missed the springboard elbow drop, Saint rolled out of the way way too early. Dickinson had enough time to land on his feet, but he just missed the elbow drop. The finish was also very bad. Saint hit Dickinson with some foreign object, but he dropped it on the mat and had to pick it up when he grabbed it from his knee pads. The ref should have seen that, but he just threw it away right in front of the ref after Saint hit Dickinson with it. Really should have been a DQ so that set me off a bit. Was also not a fan of the guy doing random bits of commentary for this, as he was be pretty annoying at points. For the most part, I enjoyed it, but there was some nit-picky stuff that I did not enjoy.

Thanks,
Chris Wilson
