John Cena vs. Kurt Angle from WWE 2002

Post by TJ Hawke:

Angle was feeling awfully confident after his recent triumphs and decided to do an open challenge to anyone whom he had never faced before. Cena showed a ton of fire here and fought with a sense of urgency that he could stand to use in more of his matches quite frankly. Angle did a great job of looking thrown off by this young guy, and that got Cena more over in the process. Angle barely escaping by needing a pinning combo to keep Cena down was the perfect finish as it gave Cena’s character something to fight for. It’s a cliche concept, but you truly can win more for losing in wrestling sometimes. (***1/2)
