Eddy Guerrero vs. Low Ki from ICW 2001

Post by TJ Hawke:

This match was for Ki’s ICW Championship.

Wow, this was a treat. You can make an argument that both guys were in their primes here, and they wrestled as such. They worked a super competitive match where it felt like every single move had to be earned. Ki has often worked this way, but he hasn’t always done it well as far as I am concerned. It worked here because of the speed and aggressiveness in which he worked. Eddie was more than ready to work this style, and he showed how much he had to offer the independent scene if he had stick around more than he ended up doing. The finish was them avoiding each other’s top-rope moves, and then Ki catching Eddie with a fruit roll-up.  Great match. (****)

(The highest compliment I can give this match is that it was worth watching it in three parts!)
