Kurt Angle vs. Drew Galloway from TNA 2016

Post by Garrett Kidney:

The second Angle/Galloway match was interesting in that it wasn’t necessarily different from their first match. Rather it was simply a better version of their first match. Again it’s a Kurt Angle match but you can’t help but commend just how hard these two worked. They were quicker to get to the goods too, with only the briefest of feeling out stages. There was also something of a through line with the majority of Galloway’s offense (the Claymore, a middle rope Celtic Cross and the Future Shock along with Angle’s shoulder being thrown into the post) focusing on Angle’s head and neck to set up his new Iron Maiden submission move. The match would’ve been better off had Galloway’s submission been established prior to the match but there’s not much that can be done about that. It’s interesting, I was at this show and yet I preferred this match more on tape than I did live. It was the clear better of their two matches this year. ****
